Buyer FAQ & Transaction Policy
Every RC2J opportunity is different. This page explains how a purchase works and answers the questions buyers ask most often.
Our Approach
RC2J Consulting identifies inventory opportunities from manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and other inventory owners; evaluates and presents those opportunities to potential buyers; provides available information and documentation; assists with negotiating commercial terms; invoices the buyer; secures the merchandise from the seller; and helps coordinate the transaction and logistics.
Transparency is fundamental to the way RC2J conducts business. Our objective is to provide buyers with the available information they need to understand an opportunity and make an informed purchasing decision.
Because RC2J works with multiple manufacturers, distributors, retailers, vendors, sellers, and inventory owners, every opportunity is different. Quantities, condition, pricing, minimum order requirements, inspection availability, sample availability, deposit requirements, geographic restrictions, documentation, and other transaction terms may vary from one opportunity to another.
The specific terms communicated for an individual opportunity and contained in the applicable Sales Order, invoice, or other transaction documentation govern that transaction.
The Process
How Buying an Opportunity Through RC2J Works
RC2J opportunities are inquiry-driven business-to-business transactions. The path below describes how a purchase typically proceeds; the terms of an individual opportunity always govern that transaction.
- 1
Find an Opportunity
Review the inventory opportunities currently presented by RC2J.
Each opportunity will provide the available information regarding the merchandise, quantities, pricing, purchase requirements, location information where appropriate, and other relevant commercial terms.
Because inventory opportunities can change quickly, all opportunities remain subject to current availability.
- 2
Contact RC2J
Interested buyers can contact RC2J through the website, WhatsApp, email, telephone, or text message.
Our team will discuss the opportunity with you and provide additional available information relevant to your purchasing decision.
- 3
Review the Available Information
RC2J provides prospective buyers with relevant documentation received from the seller/inventory owner that can reasonably assist the buyer in evaluating an opportunity.
Available documentation varies by opportunity.
When actual inventory photographs or videos have been provided by the seller/inventory owner and are available for distribution, RC2J can provide those materials to an interested buyer.
- 4
Confirm Quantity & Purchase Requirements
Every opportunity is different.
Some opportunities must be purchased in their entirety. Others may permit custom quantities or purchases subject to a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).
When an MOQ applies, it is generally established by the seller/inventory owner and will be communicated as part of the opportunity.
If the seller determines before completion of the transaction that the available quantity has changed, the buyer will be informed of the revised quantity and given an opportunity to determine whether and how they wish to proceed.
- 5
Discuss Inspection or Sample Availability When Applicable
Physical warehouse inspections and product samples are opportunity-specific and are not available for every transaction.
Certain closeout opportunities or other sellers may permit a scheduled warehouse inspection on a case-by-case basis.
Other sellers, including certain distributors, do not permit prospective buyers to enter their warehouse facilities.
When a seller/vendor makes samples available, the prospective buyer may purchase a sample subject to the seller's applicable terms. The buyer is responsible for the cost of the sample and its shipping or delivery.
RC2J will advise the prospective buyer when either an inspection or sample option is available for a particular opportunity.
- 6
Agree on Commercial Terms
Pricing may be negotiable depending upon the particular opportunity and transaction structure.
Factors may include quantity, whether the buyer is purchasing the entire opportunity, applicable MOQ requirements, payment structure, manufacturer requirements, special-order requirements, and other commercial considerations.
Not every opportunity or price is necessarily negotiable.
- 7
Sales Order & Transaction Agreement
When applicable, RC2J may provide a Sales Order reflecting the agreed or pre-agreed transaction terms.
The Sales Order may identify the merchandise, quantity, pricing, payment requirements, deposit requirements when applicable, and other terms governing the transaction.
When execution of a Sales Order is required, the buyer will be expected to review and sign/execute the Sales Order.
Applicable payment or wire instructions may accompany the Sales Order.
The executed Sales Order and associated transaction documents establish the applicable commercial terms between the parties for that transaction.
- 8
Payment or Deposit When Applicable
RC2J accepts approved payment methods including bank wire transfer, ACH, Zelle, cashier’s check, and certified funds.
RC2J does not accept credit cards or physical cash.
For many inventory opportunities, payment in full is required to secure the merchandise.
However, certain transactions may require or permit a deposit.
Deposits may apply, for example, to certain manufacturer special orders or other transactions where a deposit arrangement has been approved on a case-by-case basis.
When a deposit is required or permitted, the amount and payment terms will be stated in the applicable Sales Order or transaction documentation.
Once the buyer has signed/executed the applicable Sales Order and the deposit has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable.
The applicable Sales Order will clearly disclose the non-refundable nature of the deposit.
- 9
RC2J Secures the Merchandise
For transactions requiring full payment, the opportunity is generally secured when RC2J receives the required funds.
For transactions involving an approved deposit, the applicable Sales Order will specify the commitment, deposit, balance, and transaction requirements.
RC2J coordinates the applicable payment to the vendor/seller in accordance with the transaction structure to secure or fulfill the merchandise.
- 10
Coordinate Transportation
Unless different terms are expressly agreed for a particular transaction, the buyer is financially responsible for the transportation and logistics required to move the merchandise to the buyer's warehouse, freight forwarder, or other designated destination.
RC2J can help facilitate and coordinate transportation through logistics partners when appropriate to help provide a smooth transaction.
Following completion of the applicable payment requirements, RC2J generally seeks to facilitate transfer as promptly as practical, often within approximately 24 hours when transportation and warehouse logistics permit.
Actual timing depends on merchandise availability, carrier availability, warehouse requirements, the buyer's transportation arrangements, manufacturer or seller requirements, and other logistical circumstances.
- 11
Merchandise Is Released
The logistics provider will document the shipment as applicable, including relevant pallet, carton, or unit counts, and a Bill of Lading or other applicable transportation documentation will be issued.
Unless different written transaction terms apply, responsibility and risk associated with transportation of the merchandise transfer to the buyer once the merchandise has been loaded onto the buyer's designated transportation/logistics provider.

Getting Started
RC2J opportunities are available to qualified entities in good standing, subject to applicable transaction requirements and any restrictions associated with the particular opportunity.
Certain opportunities may also be subject to geographic, export, regulatory, manufacturer, seller, or other restrictions.
You can contact RC2J through our website, WhatsApp, email, telephone, or text message.
No.
An inquiry, conversation, negotiation, or expression of interest does not by itself secure an opportunity.
Inventory opportunities may be presented to multiple prospective buyers, and availability can change.
For transactions requiring payment in full, the opportunity is generally secured when RC2J receives the required full payment.
Transactions involving a Sales Order, manufacturer special order, deposit, or other specifically negotiated arrangement are governed by the terms contained in the applicable transaction documents.
Pricing & Quantities
Pricing may be negotiable depending on the specific opportunity and transaction terms.
Considerations may include the quantity being purchased, whether the buyer is purchasing the entire opportunity, applicable MOQ requirements, payment structure, and other commercial factors.
Not every price is necessarily negotiable.
Not necessarily.
Some opportunities require a Take-All purchase, while others permit custom quantities or have a specified Minimum Order Quantity.
The applicable purchasing requirement will be communicated for the individual opportunity.
When an MOQ applies, it is generally established by the seller/inventory owner.
Inventory quantities can change.
If RC2J or the seller/vendor determines before completion of the transaction that the available quantity is greater or less than originally presented, the buyer will be informed and given an opportunity to determine whether and how they wish to proceed.
The applicable Sales Order, invoice, or final transaction documentation will identify the quantity being purchased.
Merchandise & Information
RC2J relies upon condition information supplied by the seller/inventory owner and communicates the available condition information to prospective buyers.
Because every opportunity is different, RC2J does not make one blanket condition representation covering all merchandise presented through the company.
Buyers should review the information and transaction documentation applicable to the specific opportunity they are considering.
RC2J shares available seller-provided documentation that can reasonably assist a prospective buyer in evaluating an opportunity and making an informed purchasing decision.
The documentation available will vary from one opportunity to another.
When actual inventory photographs or videos are available from the seller/inventory owner and available for distribution, RC2J can provide those materials to interested buyers.
It depends on the individual opportunity and seller/vendor.
Certain closeout opportunities and other sellers may permit prospective buyers to inspect merchandise at the warehouse on a case-by-case basis and subject to advance approval, scheduling, insurance, safety, access, and facility requirements.
Other sellers, including certain distributors, do not permit prospective buyers to enter their warehouse facilities.
Warehouse inspection should therefore never be assumed to be available.
RC2J will advise interested buyers when inspection is permitted for a particular opportunity and will assist with coordination when appropriate.
Possibly, depending on the seller/vendor and opportunity.
RC2J cannot guarantee sample availability.
When the seller/vendor makes samples available, a prospective buyer may purchase a sample in accordance with the seller's applicable terms.
The buyer is responsible for the cost of the sample and all applicable shipping or delivery costs.
Orders & Payment
A Sales Order is a transaction document that may be used to record the agreed commercial terms of a purchase before the order is completed.
Depending on the transaction, the Sales Order may identify merchandise, quantities, pricing, payment requirements, deposit requirements, and other applicable terms.
When required, the buyer must review and execute the Sales Order before proceeding.
RC2J accepts bank wire transfers, ACH, Zelle, cashier’s checks, and certified funds.
RC2J does not accept credit cards or physical cash.
Yes, for certain transactions.
A manufacturer may require a deposit for a special order, and RC2J may permit or require a deposit for certain other transactions on a case-by-case basis.
Deposit availability and requirements are not universal and depend on the individual transaction.
The applicable Sales Order will state the required deposit and associated payment terms.
No, once the applicable Sales Order has been signed/executed and the deposit has been paid, that deposit is non-refundable.
The applicable Sales Order will expressly state that the deposit is non-refundable.
Buyers should carefully review and understand the Sales Order before signing and submitting a deposit.
Not necessarily.
The effect of a Sales Order depends upon the particular transaction and its stated terms.
For ordinary inventory transactions requiring payment in full, merchandise generally remains subject to availability until the required payment is received.
For special orders or transactions involving an approved deposit, the executed Sales Order will specify the applicable commitment and payment requirements.
Yes.
Completed sales are final. RC2J does not accept buyer-initiated returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refunds after a transaction has been completed, except as applicable to a verified material discrepancy or as otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
Non-refundable deposits are governed separately by the applicable executed Sales Order.
Delivery, Logistics & Discrepancies
A legitimate quantity discrepancy will be investigated and addressed.
RC2J will work with the buyer, seller/vendor, and logistics provider as appropriate to determine what occurred.
Verified missing merchandise will be addressed in accordance with the applicable discrepancy/refund process, including an appropriate refund for verified merchandise shortages when applicable.
Quantity discrepancies must be reported to RC2J within 24 hours of delivery or inspection of the merchandise.
Buyers should retain and provide reasonable supporting documentation requested by RC2J, which may include the Bill of Lading, delivery documentation, receiving counts, photographs, or other records necessary to investigate the discrepancy.
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular transaction, the buyer is financially responsible for transportation and logistics costs from the merchandise location to the buyer's warehouse, freight forwarder, or other destination.
RC2J can assist in facilitating logistics through its transportation partners when appropriate.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, responsibility and transportation risk transfer to the buyer when the merchandise is loaded onto the buyer's designated logistics/transportation provider.
Export & Tax
Yes.
Some RC2J opportunities may specifically be designated for export.
Any export-only or geographic restriction applicable to an opportunity will be communicated to prospective buyers.
RC2J can assist with export logistics documentation or coordination when appropriate.
The buyer is responsible for determining whether purchased merchandise can legally be imported into the destination country and for satisfying applicable import requirements.
These responsibilities may include customs requirements, duties and taxes, permits, product registrations, labeling requirements, and other applicable laws or regulations.
RC2J's assistance with logistics or export coordination does not transfer the buyer's import-compliance responsibilities to RC2J.
When a buyer provides valid resale or other applicable sales-tax exemption documentation and the transaction qualifies for the exemption, RC2J will process the transaction accordingly.
When valid exemption documentation has not been provided and sales tax is applicable, applicable sales tax will be charged.
Buyers claiming an exemption must provide the required documentation before completion of the transaction.
RC2J does not provide tax advice.
